WILLS

Why do I need a Will? A question we should all know the answer to, unfortunately less than 50% of the population know the answer. We are here to educate you on WHY a Will can help you and your loved ones in the future.

Through a correctly designed Will, your assets can be protected, your children can be cared for but most importantly your mind can be put at ease knowing that should the worst happen, your loved ones will be looked after.

A Will WILL save your loved one’s unnecessary stress or uncertainty at a time that is fraught with sadness and unknowns; a will enables you to give them the guidance and support they need.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

A power of attorney is a legal document that allows someone to make decisions for you, or act on your behalf, if you're no longer able to or if you no longer want to make your own decisions.

In essence, nominating a power of attorney allows you to know exactly who will be making decisions for you, if you are unable or unwilling.

There are 2 aspect to Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA’s): Property & Financial and Health & Welfare. They are two different documents but are often paired together for your ultimate protection.

Lasting Powers of Attorney simply allow your loved ones to have a voice when yours is taken away. I know who I would want making decisions for me, do you?

TRUSTS

A trust is a legal arrangement where one or more people (called trustees) control money or assets (called trust property) which they must use for the benefit of one or more people (called the beneficiaries).

In short, you are placing the asset in the care of multiple people to ensure the beneficiaries are looked after in a manner that suits you. By leaving assets in trust, you can protect those assets (property, finances etc) from future issues such as re-marriage, family disputes and disinheritance.

Trusts are designed to help your beneficiaries manage their inheritance in a manner that is convenient to them. Strange as it may sound, it’s often beneficial to leave someone a share of your estate with a little guidance, support and protection from others.

Pre-paid Funeral Plans

Talking about death is a difficult and often upsetting thing to do, however, it is something that will unfortunately happen to all of us. Planning for that time is what we do at ORCA and one of the best ways to plan, is to Pre-Pay for your funeral.

Pre-planning your funeral removes the emotional and financial stress of a funeral from your family and gives them (and yourself) the peace of mind that everything planned is as you wished. Financially they are a great saving, but the key to pre-planning your funeral is the fact you have taken one BIG job off the list of those who are grieving the most.
